QUESTION
I have a hen that usually lays usual shaped eggs with ripples. It did seem last week her eggs were starting to look more normal. This week she has been laying eggs without a shell. Yesterday she wouldn't get off her nest and acted sluggish this morning she out of the pen as normal. Do I need to be concerned?
ANSWER
This hen may have been exposed to a Newcastle-Bronchitis challenge. She may recover and lay normal eggs after a period of time, however.
