Grazing Seminar - Pope Co.

Area livestock producers are invited to a University of Illinois Extension Grazing Seminar on February 16 at the Golconda Golden Circle at 6:30 p.m.

Justin Sexten, U of I Extension beef specialist, leads off the program with “Principles of Management Intensive Grazing.” Dennis Epplin, Extension crop systems educator, will discuss “Fertility Needs for the Grazing System” while Keith Bell, Natural Resource Conservation Service district conservationist, will highlight “Cost Share Opportunities for Grazing System Development.” The program will conclude with “Incorporating Annuals into a Pasture System” by Ed Ballard, retired Extension educator.

Directions to the meeting from Vienna going east on 146, turn right onto Adams Street at the stop sign in Golconda by the post office. Travel about 1 block and on your right will be the "Pope County Community Center Golden Circle." From 146 headed west, travel straight onto Adams Street at the stop sign in Golconda, the "Pope County Community Center Golden Circle." Will be about a block past sign on the right.
