University of Illinois Extension, Illinois Forage and Grassland Council, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Illinois Grassland Conservation Initiative, Western Illinois University, and Society for Range Management

Beginning at 5 pm Dr. Ken Nimrick will give an overview of pastures and forage research at the Kerr Farm. Crossbred calves from Kit Pharo’s breeding program will also be available for viewing. At 6:45 pm Kit Pharo will present “Preparing for the DOWN-side of the cattle cycle.” To register contact Dr. Ken Nimrick at 309.298.1080 by July 18th. Registration is $10 and includes a meal, late registration is $15

Directions to the Kerr Farm: From the north end of Macomb on Route 67 take Tower Road (there will be a sign for the WIU golf course and WIU Ag Field Lab) west 2.5 miles. The entrance to the Kerr Farm is on the south side of the road through the red gates.
