Northeast Hay Conference

Hay is grown on about 24,000 acres in Boone and McHenry counties. Hay has long been the cornerstone for livestock and dairy operations however, the market is changing with larger, specialized operations and a growing horse industry. Cost effective strategies are still needed for producing, harvesting, and marketing hay.

Several topics will be covered including marketing, fertilization, harvest and weed management as well as insect control. Registration is $25 per person and covers a meal, refreshments and reference materials. The full conference program is attached. Contact the McHenry Co Office 815-338-3737 for registation and more information.
