Northwest Illinois Alfalfa Conference

Alfalfa hay is grown on more than 125,000 acres in northwestern Illinois. The crop is the cornerstone for livestock and dairy operations. It is also plays an important role as a cash crop. Cost effective strategies are needed for producing, storing, and utilizing this important commodity now and for the years ahead.

This years’ conference will focus on various management factors including seed selection, soil fertility, and fall management. Marketing strategies will also be discussed.
